Grape varieties: 71 % Pinot Noir, 29 % Chardonnay

Tasting notes

Yellow robe with warm, light amber shimmer. Dynamic, regular effervescence.

Mild, almost sweet bouquet, intense and richly structured with notes of yellow and red fruits (peaches, currants), slightly acidic. There are also spicy notes (cocoa bean) and smoky aromas. A very generous, complex and gastronomic bouquet.

Wide, fruity and dense on the palate. The concentrated, ripe red fruit turns into nectar.... A concentrated, sweet wine that appears velvety and almost sensual thanks to its perfectly integrated bubbles.

Its texture is seductive, generous and crisp.

Vintage

As for the weather, ups and downs with marked, very strong contrasts. A wonderful, dry spring ending with an exceedingly hot June; a rather autumnal, fresh and rainy summer; a warm, sunny and very dry September that could have been an August. The secret of this vintage's success is based both on its soils and on the work of our winemakers: the winners were the water-draining chalk soils in the lower-middle part of the slope. They managed to drain away the summer's excess water and avoid excessive growth. Our increasingly efficient viticultural practices also ensured a perfect balance of grapes and optimal ripeness.
