The Hamburg photo artist Jürgen Müller researched for a shooting project on the subject of sushi. His search for suitable crockery to decorate sushi variations for his photo project was in vain - too much folklore!

Sushi stands for Japanese purism, pure enjoyment - analogous to caviar - this philosophy should not be illustrated photographically with traditional tableware, something new had to be found. In his thoughts he had something totally reduced in mind. To avoid any competition with the sushi, made of a material without its own structure - glass, that was the solution!
