Grape varieties: 62 % Pinot Noir, 38 % Chardonnay

Tasting notes

Salmon pink colour with brilliant red reflections. Wonderfully fine, dynamic perlage. Mature, expressive bouquet. At the same time youthful with slightly acidic aromas of berries (black and red currants), ripe citrus fruits (blood oranges) and roasted cocoa beans. On contact with air, seductive, floral and sweet notes of petals with a saline, almost iodine touch to finish.

The first impression on the palate is generous, soft and concentrated. Quite like biting into the juicy fruits and blood oranges in a truly aromatic and savoury explosion combined with a slightly acidic aromatic palette.A very concentrated and dense wine, reminiscent of liqueur in the middle of the palate. The long finish is lean and gradually reveals its umami potential thanks to its precise mineral freshness.

The imprint of the continental climate and the associated beautiful ripeness is expressed here through an explosive, ripe fruitiness and dense, concentrated textures.

Vintage

An exceptional vintage in a year when Champagne was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site! 2015 - like the entire decade - was characterised by a continental climate with a mild, wet winter and a warm, dry summer. The hot, sunny summer broke some heat records and was extremely dry. The vines were finally saved by the redeeming rain in the second half of August. Thanks to this fresh finish, the grapes were ripe, concentrated and very juicy. The ambition of this vintage? To capture the concentrated signature of the spectacular vintage!
